Can the low-cost long-haul model be profitable?
Low-cost airlines revolutionised the aviation industry in the last ten years, driving prices down and forcing incumbents to compete. Now carriers like Norwegian and Air Asia X have applied the same low-cost model to long-haul flights. The challenge now is to deliver sustainable profitability.
