Airbus Sets A350-1000 First Flight on November 24

Airbus has announced world's first A350-1000 prototype will commence its maiden flight on Thursday, November 24 in Toulouse, France.
The larger variant of A350 airliner MSN59 (F-WMIL), powered by two Rolls Royce Trent XWB-97 engines, is scheduled to take off at 10:30 a.m. local time from Toulouse Blagnac Airport, subject to weather conditions, Airbus said in a statement.
One Trent XWB-97 is currently engaged in icing tests in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as it is installed on the left inboard station of the A380 flying testbed.
Airbus plans to deliver the first A350-1000 to launch customer Qatar Airways by the end of 2017.
So far, Airbus has collected a total of 195 firm orders for the A350-1000 aircraft, compared to 599 for the smaller -900 and a remaining 16 for the -800.
