Ishka Dublin Festival: End of the crisis ‘in sight’ but airlines to suffer losses till 2023
Commercial air travel is forecasted to recover to 88% of 2019 levels by 2022 and 109% by 2023, according to Brian Pearce, chief economist for aviation trade body IATA. Pearce, speaking at the Ishka+ Dublin virtual Festival said “the end of the crisis is in sight” but warned many airlines are still at risk of significant cash burn for the rest of 2021.
