Chinese Tier 2 airlines recover in H1 2023 but net profits remain elusive

Spring Airlines, Juneyao Air, Hainan Airlines and Lucky Air all reported strong traffic recovery over the course of 2023, generating exceptionally high operating cash flows in H1 2023. All remained profitable at an operating level, however only Spring Airlines recorded a healthy net profit
