US LCCs slip in the red amidst rising operation costs and increasing fuel prices, Canadian airlines record strong Q3 performance
Ishka summarises how the major North American airlines performed in Q3 2023. In what is historically the busiest quarter of the year for most airlines, US LCCs particularly struggled with JetBlue, Spirit and Frontier recording decreasing year-on-year revenues. Canadian airlines and US full-service carriers appear to have better mitigated the high fuel prices as well as the cost of capacity build-up.
